We are working hard to produce a Covid-Safe event which aligns with Government guidelines as to screening, social distancing, cleansing, communication, monitoring and reporting.
Here's the draft program for 2020 festival!
Please note - this is only an indication of our proposed 2020 Program and is subject to change.
In line with community expectations, the organisers of Chillogan aim to uphold eco-friendly festival practices by:
Banning the use of single-use plastic and disposable coffee cups
Banning the sale of plastic bottled water
Banning the straw
Using only recyclable cups and food containers
Discouraging the use of plastic cutlery
Encouraging the use of bio-degradable food containers
Segregating waste disposal
No wristbands
Remember to bring your own bags to put in all your goodies!
We'll be hotting things up in Beenleigh Town Square and re-living our first Chillogan Festival in 2018! This great space will come alive with all things hot and spicy, and lots to do for the whole family.
Catch the train to Beenleigh station and stroll across to the square.
Park your car in the nearby shopping centre carpark and stroll across to the square.
Lots of street parks in the vicinity.
No Alcohol permitted to be brought in. This is a fully licensed venue and alcohol may be consumed anywhere within the festival site.
Bags will be checked at the gate.
You are welcome to bring a picnic rug or camp chair to set up "base camp" at the festival.
All well-socialised four-legged friends are welcome at the festival. They must wear something red or a chilli-themed costume to gain entry.
We are working hard to produce a Covid-Safe event which aligns with Government guidelines as to screening, social distancing, cleansing, communication, monitoring and reporting.
Our Covid-Safe Event Plan has been lodged with the relevant health authorities to ensure that we adhere to strict guidelines to bring you a great event whilst keeping you Covid-Safe.
Maximum allowable patronage for our festival is 1800, however, organisers are aiming for only 1500 pax on site at any one time, to keep everyone comfortable and safe.
If you feel unwell and cannot attend the festival, simply, we are happy to refund you.
Similarly, if the event is cancelled due to unexpected Covid restrictions being implemented by the health authorities, your ticket will also be refunded (less booking fees).
We are lucky to once again have thes support of Focused Health Care who will be providing us with a First Aid Post on festival day,
and keeping in close contact with Organisers and Security Personnel throughout the day should anyone present with symptoms of Covid.
We are all slowly getting used to the new "Covid-way" and maintaining 1.5m distance from others where possible is the key to everyone staying safe.
Please observe this rule while you are at the festival and, should social distancing become impossible, don your #RedChilliArmy Face Mask.
These are not mandatory but if you'd like to get in the spirit, purchase a #RedChilliArmy face mask ne at the gate for just $3. We donate $1 back to the Balinese village who produced them for us.
As the event is licensed, we do not allow BYO alcohol. To minimise contact at the gate, please use a small bag if possible. Security can easily detect that you are compliant with our "NO BYO" policy.
Larger bags and backpacks may need to be emptied and we'd rather avoid that if possible.
Download the Covid-Safe App - if you'd like to take this precaution, you can download it from your Smart Phone App store.

The big-hearted guys from Viking Breed Social Motor Club are always popular at our chilli events across South-East Queensland. Visitors to Chillogan can enjoy a photo with any of the bikes (and the guys) for a gold coin donation to Cystic Fibrosis Queensland.
If you want to feel the wind in your face, make sure you bid on the VIKING FOR A DAY PILLION AUCTION at the festival so you can be one of a select few who get to ride with the Viking Breed fellows, out on the highway for about 20 minutes, during the course of the festival. Money raised goes to Cystic Fibrosis Queensland.
Viking Breed Social Motorcycle Club is for guys that love to ride and enjoy a club atmosphere with other enthusiasts. They regularly get together to help raise money for charity.
Got a ride 400cc or above? Find out about how to join on their Facebook page.
Maree Field has been training and showing dogs for decades and her skill and passion for what she does shines through in her agility display performances. Her amazing pooches will be showing off some super fun skills and races to the delight of crowds.

Steve Payne is Brisbane’s own Bruce Springsteen with a great vibe coming from the festival stage to kick off BCF2020 with a mix of originals and covers.

Bhangra Dance Group, BaDance Company, African and Korean dance and music groups will also keep you entertained in between chilli challenges.
Sean Mullen will again be burning up the fretboard with some fabulous blues to close out the day.
We know you want to try as many chilli-laced foods as possible, so our vendors promise to deliver at least four chilli food items, along with non-chilli foods for the not so brave.
